Description:
This painting belongs to the Trilogy called “Klimt“, as it wants to pay homage to the great eclectic Master Gustav Klimt who, through his painting, has always been considered one of the most famous artists of the ‘900.
Always attracted by his brilliant artistic union between painting and goldsmithery, which was probably transmitted by his master goldsmith, I think it was a great inspiring source for me in revisiting and reworking his pictorial technique used, as many technical aspects are really akin to my.
The main theme proposed is pertinent to love, through which the metaphor of two Puffins can be traced back to two human beings kissing under the light of the stars. Rays of golden pigment, inserts of Pyrite and pupils of black Tourmaline, recall the goldsmith applications used by Klimt; while both the golden cloaks can be traced back to sexuality which, through the different symbols, drew inspiration from the exotic fashions of the time.
The pigments used were mixed with poppy oil, which allow to provide a visual softness similar to the infinite shades of colors of the birds.
