Description:
Work inspired by concepts attributable to Symbolism, an ethical and aesthetic movement founded on intuition, without a mediation of rationality.
“The temptations” belongs to the “Ego” trilogy, and is the second painting generated by a collective introspective thought. The Robin in the foreground is tempted to take the buds positioned on the leaves as if they were insects, but at the same time the eye of a predator (made with Bronzite), emerges from the water and scrutinizes what happens with the intent to capture the bird.
Although this small bird is very common in Europe, and that it has not been inserted in the right context of natural habitat together with a Crocodile, this painting wants to give subliminal messages through the symbolism, so as to make people think that when you are tempted by your ego to take possession of someone else’s object, there is always someone watching you and willing to punish you.
From the Emeralds, the Acquemarine and heliodorus stone, they are minerals of the Beryl variety and become drops of dew positioned and camouflaged in the colors of the leaves.
The bird’s eye was created with black tourmaline.
