Description
This is the first documentary work entitled “Present” belonging to the “Human Disasters” trilogy, created following the attack of an air hijacking at the Twin Towers in Manhattan on 11 September 2001 in which thousands of people died. From this epilogue, I decided to represent the present through this sad testimony.
The falling rubble is represented by rough gems mixed in the colors of the painting, and they symbolize the precious human lives that were lost following the collapse of the two towers. Burmese ruby, on the other hand, is used to remember an eye of a demon that materializes from the smoke given off by the explosion. The face of the demon will be repeated in all three works, apartments in the trilogy, which will act as a guiding thread to my fantasy.
