Title: “Life Cycle”
Technique: Oil on canvas and semi-precious stones (Onyx and green Garnet)
Dimensions: 40x30c m
This first oil on canvas, dated 2005/2006, cost me twelve months of hard work and inspired me the applications of stones, which could be clearly linked to a specific meaning, such as the black Onyx (the eye of the predator), the life hope of the green Garnet (the eyes of the insect).
I had a chance to experiment primary colors and merge into research for detail.
Easy and essential as the title may be the subject is not banal. The captured insect eaten by the predator. A dramatic constant in the life circle and food chain on this planet.
