Description:
It is a work that is part of the “Color Test” trilogy in which the artist still belonged to the embryonic and experimental phase. The great affinity with nature and the refinement for the choice of color combinations, has given rise to a work in which we want to highlight the beauty of the subjects with vivid and bright colours. The selected semi-precious gems, such as Amber, Copal, Aquamarine, Onyx, Chrysoprase and Opal, are not a random choice but rather the result of careful attention to the intrinsic meanings of the stones, which in harmony blend with the colours of the painting.
The metaphor of waiting for a toucan lying on a branch of the tropical forest, with the application of the aforementioned stones, symbolise the morning dew in a dreamlike key, which captures the attention of the observer while maintaining distances, triggering a lack of confidence in the against man. The bird is always ready for any eventuality to take flight and escape from evil.
